Fake It 'Til You Make It Photography: Maternity

I own a pretty decent camera and a couple of very decent lenses. I also like to take pictures. This does not make me a photographer. But I'm willing to fake it.

When my girlfriend asked me to take some maternity pictures for her I happily accepted. I promised to take a gazillion pictures in the hopes of getting two good ones. And it worked!  After snapping 426 pictures, I managed to find a few gems.

Lucky for me, it's a photogenic family. And mama bear knew exactly what she wanted the pictures to look like. I tried to accommodate.

Yeah, yeah, this is not a maternity picture.
But this sweet four year old is just as cute as a button.
She's going to be a great big sister.

The nursery is nothing short of amazing!
It's bright and colorful and full of playful patterns.
Basically, it belongs in magazines.

Peggy Sue

Look at this puppy, Miss Peggy Sue!
That face. Those wrinkles. Can you stand it?
Peggy Sue belongs to my mom and Bigs.
She's growing up so fast.
While we were in Maryland, I just couldn't stop taking her picture.

Greats

As I mentioned, my dad's folks live in the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. They don't go by any fancy grandparent names, just Cathy and D. Cole met Cathy and D a few months ago but she was much more engaged this time around. It didn't hurt that Cathy bought Cole her own set of keys which were and are a big hit!

While we were at the beach, Cathy and D came over for dinner. Actually they brought us dinner: Royal Farms fried chicken, coleslaw, squash casserole, baked beans, and biscuits. And it was delicious. I wouldn't mind having a Royal Farms in Memphis.

Then Thursday before we left Rehoboth, we stopped by Cathy and D's house for one last visit. Cole hammed it up for the camera ::of course:: while Cathy kept a close eye.
