Cole :: 1 year

What a fast year! Our baby girl has officially entered her toddler days. We're having a milk and cookies birthday party for her in a few weeks with some friends and family. These days she runs around like a big kid, eats real food (she has 12 teeth!), and shows preferences for dolls and things with wheels. Cole loves to ride in wagons and swings.  She also loves to watch older kids play at the park and church, often trying to play along. She's an early bird who starts her day by 5 o'clock in the morning.

She's becoming more vocal. Currently, her favorite words are "dog" and "yes." She will point dogs out whenever she sees them on the street or in books. In the last month, Cole has become quite affectionate. She gives hugs freely to cats, dogs and babies. She's also become something of dancer and singer. She'll bounce when music is played and sings throughout the day and before bedtime.

Today we gave her two balloons. She's been toting them around the house and playing with them. It's so precious to see the simple pleasure she gets from new things. I hope her sense of wonder lasts throughout her lifetime!
